About Student Supply Guide

Student Supply Guide was created to make college shopping feel more organized, realistic, and manageable for families. The goal is not to make students buy everything. The goal is to help them choose the right things first.

I’ve spent years helping families navigate the college planning process through my Class 101 program. I’ve watched hundreds of students prepare for college, heard the questions parents ask, and seen what actually makes the transition smoother.

One thing that kept coming up: families felt overwhelmed by the practical side of getting ready. What do students really need for a dorm room? Which organizers work in a tiny space? What makes a good gift for a homesick freshman?

This site answers those questions with focused guides, realistic priorities, and practical recommendations. The goal is simple: help families buy with confidence, avoid unnecessary clutter, and prepare students for everyday campus life.

My daughter Kaylea, a college senior, helps keep the site current and useful. Between professional college-planning experience and lived student experience, Student Supply Guide brings both parent and student perspectives to the process.
